“Just wanted to let you know that on New Year’s Eve I dragged out my work sheets from last year’s JOG and was amazed at the percentage of the 100 goals that had come to fruition in ‘07. And also how easy it was to carry forward some of them and add new objectives to create a game plan for ‘08. Your approach has an almost magical quality to it and I’m thrilled to have this great tool to carry into the future.” Nancy Nix-Rice, First Impressions

“I loved the Joy of Goals workshop in 2007. Two of my rather outrageous goals came true, I put down “Swim Club Membership” and “Timeshare in Sedona” At the time of the workshop, I was struggling financially, and these seemed pipe dreams or ‘maybe someday’ types of goals. Well, in February, I was gifted a membership in St. Louis’s premiere wellness center, which included a fabulous indoor pool. Then, in September, my girlfriend told me she had traded her California timeshare week for a week in Sedona, AZ, and would I join her during that week as her guest! These two gifts will be part of the successes from 2007 that I will be celebrating at the 2008 Joy of Goals event!” Rebecca Olson, The Chocolate Diva, www.chocolatediva2.com, 314 800-4050

“Last year January 2007 I attended the Joy of Goals Workshop. It was very phenomenal for me. I listed 90 goals on my worksheet and as I listed them I prayed for each intention and goal to come to being. One of my goals was a Spiritual one to pray 1 hour a day for each goal and intention. I remembered a lot of them and from time to time would go back and relooked at them. Another of my goals was to be a Star Achiever with Shaklee and receive recognition for it. That I did! I received recognition for being in the Millionaire Club for making a Million $ in Shaklee in my career. This week I saw Karen Hoffman to strategize for a Goal Seminar for my Shaklee Cinch Inch Loss Plan, and I pulled out my Joy of Goals Workshop. After she left I checked off the Goal sheet and realized I had reached 78 of 90 Goals I had listed. Listing the goals and keeping them as my intention helped me reach them and I am excited to share with you it is was an asset to my business and personal life to be part of your Joy of Goals Workshop. Thank you for all your hard work.” Theresa Meyer, A New You and Cinch and Get Clean

“I had just left my job as a television news producer. I stood up at the 2007 Joy of Goals and told the room I would have a new career this year, and I would become a mother. Today, October 22nd, I am the owner of Legacies to Remember. My business produces video legacies. People tell their life stories on video and we illustrate those stories with music, pictures and video. More importantly, I am expecting my first child in five weeks.

Network with as many people as you can to help make your dreams and goals come true. And finally, never miss a ‘Joy of Goals”’seminar.

One of the most rewarding parts of a Joy of Goals workshop is the Celebrate section. You start the workshop by first acknowledging exactly what you accomplished this year. In this article, success guru, Jack Canfield, explains why we don’t always remember our successes (and why we need to)!

by Jack Canfield

With the year coming to a close, it’s time to acknowledge and appreciate yourself for everything you’ve accomplished today, throughout the year, and in life.

How many times have you succeeded in the past month? Are you able to recall your successes as well as your failures and missteps?

Many people under-appreciate the little things they accomplish every day. And yet they can recall in detail all the times they have failed or made mistakes. That’s because the brain remembers events more easily when they’re accompanied by strong emotions.

You might recall graduation, losing 10 pounds, winning an award, or landing a highly sought after position. But do you include in your successes how you had a really great talk with your spouse, how you spent quality time with your teen, how you got all your list of things done for the day, how you learned to change your own oil, or got your fussy child to take a nap?

If you don’t acknowledge your successes the same way you acknowledge your mistakes, you’re sure to have a memory full of blunders.

Acknowledge your own success. Toot your own horn and don’t wait for anyone else to praise you!

If you only remember the mistakes and failures, you won’t be as ready to take risks that will lead to your successes. Build your self-esteem by recalling ALL the ways you have succeeded and your brain will be filled with images of you making your achievements happen again and again.

Take time to write your achievements down. Start when you were very young and think of all your achievements since then. Don’t just pick the big things, write down all the things you take for granted. You can also create a log of success everyday and review it when you are faced with a new challenge. By writing it all down everyday, you’re securing it in your long-term memory and it will become a part of what makes you tick.

Surround yourself with reminders of your success.

Put up pictures, articles, trophies, awards and other pieces that ring your attention to your success. Make your environment speak to you about your achievements. Be proud of them!
People like to be around those who have a healthy self-esteem and who are achieving their Goals. Commit to acknowledging your achievements and your brain will begin to tell you the truth… that you can do ANYTHING!

There are 3 main things I took from this seminar. Say your goals out loud because they are more likely to happen. Network with as many people as you can to help make your dreams and goals come true. And finally, never miss a ‘Joy of Goals”’seminar. It was inspiring, thought provoking and a great kick in the butt to get out there and conquer the world!!!
